Bargain for Life
8th October 2007
I do not own my soul
It isn’t even new but freshly cleansed
and recycled before becoming
bonded with me for a full life term.
Without an option on a second.
I could not tell you the cost
as, of the transaction,
I am blissfully unaware.
In this life anyway.
I think. No, I believe, that a soul,
for us, is nothing but a life token.
A passive recorder of our existence.
What you do with this life and how
you end up losing it, is down to you.
